ORIGIN STORY

Zaxton Regulus took a job at Metropolis Fusion Power's main branch, under the directorship of Derek Morgna, to be close to a power source a power source for his experiments with radioactive gold. As he grew more intensely involved with the gold, he also grew slopper in his work habits, neglecting several safeguards. When two young lab assistants made their monthly supply delivery, a careless accident caused an explosion which killed one boy and injured both Regulus and the other, Dirk Morgna. Regulus's anger at having his experiment ruined was compounded when he has fired by Dirk's father. Furious, he vowed to kill Dirk. He reprogrammed several of the power plant's robots to enter the atomic reactor, carrying the unconscious Dirk Morgna inside, but what was his revenge instead turned Dirk into Sun Boy. Regulus went into hiding, creating a suit of gold armour with tremendous solar powers, then resurfaced years later to set a trap for Sun Boy, only to be thwarted by the Legion of Super Heroes. Regulus escaped, defeated.

The armour's powers slowly irradiated Regulus until he controlled the power within himself, needing the armour only to absorb and fly (through space, inclusively). He then attacked Sun Boy, an attack which ended in his "death". His dying request to Sun Boy was to be thrown into Arion star — unknown to the Legion, the only star that could recharge Regulus's power. Regulus has since engaged in a number of attacks on the Legion, fueled by his obsessive hatred of Sun Boy.

Converted characters, most of the times, unavoidably exceeds the 45-point limitation that the ICONS Superpowered Roleplaying Game core book recommends. Character made according to rules presented in ICONS Great Power book. Streamlined, once again, according to ICONS Superpowered Roleplaying: The Assembled Edition.
